American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) has a stated ambition to become the leading payments and working capital provider for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) businesses helping them say yes to more opportunities. This includes ensuring each customer has access to business-sized purchase capacity, flexible payment options, meaningful rewards, and the powerful backing of American Express.
The Card Lending Team supports this objective by developing compelling products, services, and customer engagement strategies to meet small business owners’ evolving buying and payment needs. As a result of career advancement, we are hiring a Senior Manager, Product Management (Pay Over Time) to help drive the continued convergence of our spend and lend card features and introduce new organic growth opportunities to gain more share of our customers’ spending and borrowing needs. The Senior Manager will keep a customer-fist mentality by leading organic portfolio growth initiatives, customer segmentation, digital customer journeys, and compliance partnerships. Key internal partners include: Analytics, Marketing, Risk Management, Charge Card Product, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, Servicing, Finance, and Technology, and Business Operations.
How you will make an impact in this role? Ideate and drive organic growth initiatives to increase tenured customer engagement and feature satisfaction Use portfolio analytics and insights to develop a new customer segmentation with Analytics, Risk, and Marketing Identify, evaluate, and launch product-specific & portfolio-wide improvements across digital servicing journeys Serve as customer champion using customer service and research insights Ensure a strong control and compliance environment by establishing effective controls and monitoring practices Deepen relationships and collaboration with key internal partner teams Minimum Qualifications: Strong customer-first mentality and experience putting customer insights into action Strategic, creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and ability to use insights to drive winning strategies Excellent project management skills while balancing multiple business partners and workstreams in parallel Thoughtful, concise communicator and consistent track record to communicate effectively to audiences at various levels Ability to influence cross-functionally toward shared outcomes and operating in a fast-paced environment Good judgment and interpretation of compliance landscape Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in service of Small Business Owners as a segment Prior experience with lending economicsSalary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
