This position is part of the Process Development Team located in Coralville, Iowa and will be on-site. At IDT, we are one global team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Supervises and directs the Process Development staff including employee hiring, training, evaluations and discipline. + Manage, mentor and coach direct reports, including managers, to achieve individual, team and IDT objectives + Deliver and coach team to deliver detailed engineering analysis and documentation that utilizes appropriate statistical methods and process flows (e.g. Process Capability, Methods and Standard Work) + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of new processes. + Champion and Drive for improvements through DBS tools (PSP, VRK, kaizen, VPM, etc) + Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in process technologies The essential requirements of the job include: + Minimum 5+ years of experience in process development or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role + Demonstrated ability to effectively review analytical reporting, interpret complex data and formulate conclusions. + Previous experience leading teams, either as a manager or a project team leader required + Experience driving action to achieve goals via creation and execution of an Action Plan(s). + Demonstrated PSP, Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC or similar development and problem-solving methodology Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20lb It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Experience with DNA synthesizers and synthesis processes and capabilities + Engineering degree preferred + CRISPR, NGS, qPCR and other biological method experience We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
