**_Overview_**
The Sr Mgr- IT Capital Governance will be responsible for overseeing the capital budgeting, forecasting and planning process within the technology organization. This role is instrumental in improving business outcomes by giving PPL a consistent way to translate technology investments to business value while optimizing IT costs and performance. This person will utilize deep IT Finance and Technology Business Management (TBM) principles to ensure effective management and optimization of capital investments. Experience with and knowledge of Lean Budgeting techniques and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) will further differentiate top candidates as qualified respondents are considered.
Responsibilities
+ Manage team of FTEs and contractors to develop value stream capital forecasts
+ Lead the capital planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
+ Apply TBM principles to align capital investments with business goals and technology strategy.
+ Collaborate closely with IT finance, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements, gather data, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
+ Align IT financial processes using Lean Budgeting principles as PPL’s integration of SAFe advances.
+ Develop and implement financial models to assess the impact of capital investments.
+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline IT financial processes and leverage TBM to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
+ Mentor and develop junior team members to enhance their financial acumen and analytical skills.
+ Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications
**_Education_**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field or demonstrated work experience.
**_Experience_**
+ 5+ years of experience in IT Finance or a related field,
+ Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
**_Preferred Qualifications_**
+ Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP) would be a plus
+ Utilities industry experience
+ Understanding of TBM principles and their application in IT financial management.
+ Knowledge of Lean Budgeting and SAFe principles
