Lead and manage the horticulture department, ensuring the successful implementation of landscape and garden design, nursery development, and floriculture activities Develop and execute strategic plans for plantation, afforestation, and green cover enhancement in allocated areas Ensure compliance with DGMS/Forest department guidelines and regulations for sustainable green initiatives Oversee the budgeting and allocation of resources for biodiversity conservation and grass turf development Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate horticultural practices into the overall mining operations Conduct regular assessments and audits to monitor the progress of horticultural projects and provide timely reports to senior management Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in horticulture, implementing best practices for continuous improvement Co-ordinate with HODs/vendors/ forest department & state pollution control board and ensure availability of resources/ materials to complete plantation targets Prepare reports related to green zone for environmental Ministry Ensure timely processing of all bills and services related to horticulture department. Monitor and control horticulture expenses within approved budget Ensure training and development of horticulture staff by nominating to   identified training programs Ensure Zero Accidents/Incidents at Surguja. Provide safety/Skills training related to Horticulture to all Mallies. B.Sc / M.Sc in Horticulture 15-20 years of experience in horticulture, floriculture, and nursery development Prior experience in a managerial role within the coal mining or manufacturing industry
