American Express Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) serves American Express Card Members around the world with a full range of travel services, from trip planning and booking to enhancing the broader travel experience. TLS is a critical component of the value proposition of the American Express premium card products, focused on delivering Travel and Lifestyle benefits which allow American Express to create differentiation and loyalty with premium CMs.
American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and today is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks. The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access, differentiated value, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to premium Card Members seeking leisure or business travel, as well as a variety of lifestyle services.
The TLS COE (Center of Excellence) is a newly formed organization tasked with uniting the travel and lifestyle benefits and strategic travel partner relationships globally to create structured and focused plans towards advanced Card Member engagement with Amex travel benefits.
The Global Strategic Partnerships and Marketing (GPM) within the TLS COE brings together the best travel partners in the world to create unparalleled value and unforgettable experiences across the travel journey - and amplifies this to Card Members wherever they are.
This position will be responsible for the TLS relationships with our preferred Cruise partners. As the partner manager, this person will work with external sales partners to drive bookings and Card Member engagement, in partnership with TLS marketing and servicing. This person will illustrate the value of American Express Travel to our partners, and in turn will represent their needs to internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Act as the cruise partner manager, including contract negotiations, detailed partnership plans, coordination of marketing and agent training opportunities, and resolving escalations Partner across leadership levels of sales organizations at travel suppliers to bring to life the value of Amex Travel and our premium Card Member base Contribute to the growth strategy for TLS cruise, including the identification of impactful opportunities and the execution of key deliverables Effectively communicate strategies and goal progress to AXP senior leadership with an ability to link back to larger enterprise initiatives Support international cruise partnerships through global relationships, where possible Deliver flawless compliance adherence and control management execution within partner portfolio Collaborate with internal teams such as TLS benefits, marketing, servicing, and technology Travel required for partner and industry events
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to build and grow relationships Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence senior level leaders both within and outside of Amex Ability to prioritize across various partnerships and workstreams, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective at collaborating cross-functionally in a matrixed organization Motivated self-starter with the ability to navigate challenges and creatively identify solutions Demonstrated ability to drive quantifiable results in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications
Travel industry experience a plus 4+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred
Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
