Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager - Counsel, Legal Compliance
The role involves researching regulatory and licensing requirements, applying for and maintaining individual and/or entity-level licenses/authorizations or other authorizations/notifications, engaging in controls testing or other monitoring activity, preparing compliance reporting, preparing or revising policies and procedures, supporting potential client deals and/or other tasks as may be assigned from time to time related to the activity of the Legal Compliance team. Research relevant authorization and licensing requirements for in-scope services.
Responsibilities
• Represents the company in litigation and similar matters before judicial and administrative bodies.
• Manages external counsel handling other cases.
• Demonstrable commercial and legal judgment including the ability to assess risk and advise accordingly.
• Handles employment-related concerns and assists HR in administrative investigations.
• Prepares, reviews, and finalizes contracts and agreements of vendors and employees.
• Reviews and advises management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
• Carry-out duties as may be assigned by the supervising attorney.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
• Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Laws / Juris Doctor – and must have passed the Bar Exams
• Someone with relevant years of working experience in labor and employment-related matters
• Amenable to work onsite as may be required.
• Can work on flexible work hours depending on business needs.
• Keen attention to detail and demonstrates impeccable work ethic.
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Ability to adapt to a challenging and fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to execute on multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
Preferred qualifications
• Must have had relevant experience in the BPO Industry
• Must have worked in a law office.
