At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.

Must be a Namibian Citizen;

Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant;
Must have 7 years’ experience in an auditing environment;
Display sound leadership skills;
Analytic and solution driven;
Excellent time management skills;
Strong business and technical understanding of IFRS.

Able to work independently as well as in a team environment;
Ability to work in a pressurised and stressful environment; and
Ability to meet deadlines.

Duties
Departmental team leader and responsible for the management of the Audit practice;
Reporting to a partner responsible for the portfolio within the assurance department;
Managing of client portfolios with internal and external connections;
Compliance with PwC audit methodology;
Main point of contact and overall responsible project lead, under supervision of the Partner;
Manage the work performance of Audit staff members;
Continuous training and development of junior staff members;
Financial portfolio management - including management of budgeting / forecasting, actual production, billing and cash collections;
Responsible for the development and execution of a department strategy, in line with the firm’s strategic direction;
Support Partner in the business development strategies on a departmental level, as well as improvement of delivery;
Managing a diverse client portfolio;
Risk Management
Provide audit support to the Namibian Assurance practices;
