C.H Robinson is seeking a Senior Manager Analytics who will be responsible for the buildout and oversight of the reporting and analytics commercial strategy. The Senior Manager, Analytics will be responsible for connecting with stakeholders, collaborating with them about their goals and strategies, and co-creating an analytics roadmap to help them achieve their aims. The role is also responsible for coaching and developing team members, aligning resources to the roadmap, and managing delivery of useful, insightful, and timely outputs. Additionally, the role will coordinate with other analytics teams, influencing development of scaled products to incorporate found insights and support commercial strategies. As a Senior Manager, Analytics you will also be responsible on setting robust plans for execution, estimating timelines, and providing value-add coaching for team members.
This position is open to candidates located in Minneapolis, Chicago, or Kansas City. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but is not limited to, the following:
Ensure leadership alignment to current marketable state of any reporting and analytics offeringsInfluence alignment with senior leadership in the proposed strategic initiatives supporting the roadmap creation for current and future BI and data driven solutionsGuide corporate Technology and Product partners with a sense of analytics product ownership helping to influence commercial outcomesInstill a culture of coordination, cooperation, and technological advancement for the organizationManagement for a team of analysts and scientists; including coaching, developing, performance management, and employee engagement.Align global teams to optimize work throughput and ensure complete utilization of reporting and analytics resourcesLead global account focused and shared service teams to ensure timely, accurate, streamlined, and consistent reporting/analytics for all internal and external customersPartner with stakeholders to ensure the creation of robust training and coordinated plans for internal disseminationEnsure reporting team delivery of new functionality, enhancements, and/or the resolution of issues relative to customer scorecards, dashboards (data visualization), and ad-hoc reporting across our global organizationContinuously seek out knowledge of emerging technologies and work with reporting managers to develop a training roadmap for reporting team membersServe as a trusted advisor whose input is sought by a broad range of stakeholders throughout the organizationEffectively articulate complex technical concepts using a variety of techniques and adjust content, style and language based on the intended audiencePossess a broad spectrum of knowledge crossing modes, applications, software, and business processesUnderstand criteria involved in making decisions and effectively addresses underlying problemsProactively identify areas of opportunity and promotes potential solutions to stakeholdersMentor and challenge others to develop their skills; acts as a role modelDrive innovation and challenge business unit assumptions regarding how they will successfully execute their plansIdentify potential savings opportunities and reporting solutions.Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsDrive innovation and challenge technical assumptions; analyze new ideas for potential adoptionDemonstrate a comprehensive understanding of business needs and objectives and effectively apply this to all aspects of the jobRequired Qualifications:
10+ years of professional experience 4+ years direct or indirect supervisory experienceA proven track record of delivering successful BI productsAdvanced experience using data visualization and analytical toolsKnowledgeable in Technology and continuous process improvementSelf-starter, innovator, and positive team player with ability to work with little or no supervisionAble to quickly identify problems and find creative/logical solutions with minimal assistance Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma/GEDPreferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in relevant fieldDemonstrable application of relational database conceptsDemonstrable application of dimensional database conceptsAdvanced experience with Microsoft tools such as SSRS, Power Pivot and Power BIIntermediate to advanced level of programming experience using languages such as VBA, Python, R and/or JavaScriptProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programsStrong organization and problem-solving skills. Compensation Range
$118,000.00 - $196,400.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.
