Position reports to the Director of Guidelines, Pathways, & Formulary Strategy as an individual contributor, leading across home office and field matrix teams.  This role will have responsibility as a content expert in both hematology and oncology for the NCCN Guidelines, provider-focused pathways, and other key clinician-driven treatment decision-making resources.  This individual will engage and align with key stakeholders in other functions (including but not limited to US Field Medical (Hematology & Oncology), Market Access, Commercial, HEOR, Home Office Medical, and Scientific Communications) to analyze data and insights, contribute to key decisions, facilitate content creation, and communicate effectively across the organization.  This Senior Manager role will coordinate the execution of relevant medical activities to increase knowledge to ensure safe/effective use of BMS products and translate clinical insights into actionable strategies/tactics to meet customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

Establish clear and challenging goals that accomplish business objectives consistent with the organization; make objective and effective decisions.   

Participate in the development of a US Medical guidelines/pathways plan that is both product and disease-specific in alignment with US Commercialization (USC) and WW Medical (WWM), translating USC and WWM strategies into effective US Medical launch plans and life cycle management plans.

Provide market scanning in order to identify and map key decision makers and access influencers across relevant groups (NCCN panels, pathway committees, and other influential organizations such as COA, ASCO, etc.) as well as track current product placement vs goal, in collaboration with other functions as applicable

Partner closely with colleagues in Market Access and Health Economics and Outcomes Research to ensure the science of the pipeline products and marketed medicines are understood and communicated properly internally and externally

Active participation with relevant Field Medical, fHEOR, and Home Office Medical matrix teams, closely collaborating/partnering with counterparts to execute the guidelines/pathways plan that ensures US market needs are addressed.

Engage and collaborate with colleagues on tumor teams and WW Scientific Publications as they execute submission strategies to NCCN and key pathway organizations.

Collaborate with other colleagues (MSL, MEL, HOM) with high impact external thought leaders, across several disciplines, to identify and translate key insights and to drive adoption of BMS medicines.

Partner with Medical, Access, and BI&A partners assess and report on appropriate metrics to capture impact with key decision makers and influencers.

Collaborate and communicate with US Commercialization, Access, and HEOR organizations to integrate medical guideline/pathway perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure appropriate alignment between commercial and medical plans.

Serve as internal guidelines and pathways expert who is fully integrated into the BMS matrix team.

Qualifications & Experience

Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP)

Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical industry or other relevant experience in Hematology or Oncology is preferred

Highly organized and motivated individual with the ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives across diverse high performing matrix teams

Strong business acumen including understanding of healthcare landscape, role of guidelines such as NCCN, and organized customer and payer market access opportunities and challenges

Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, have excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, including clinical development, regulatory, life cycle management of pharmaceutical products, and knowledge of thought leaders in the field

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate complex situations and gain alignment with diverse stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities

Estimated 30-50% travel (as applicable)

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $120,000 - 150,000 plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).  The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.  Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.  Eligibility for specific benefits listed on our careers site may vary based on the job and location.
