Your Role at Baxter:

The Sr Manager, Supplier Lifecycle Management will be a key leader within the Procurement organization with responsibility to manage and optimize the supplier lifecycle process, with an initial focus on Supplier Notification of Change (SNC) process.

This position will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of making Procurement a best-in-class organization by ensuring transparency, minimizing disruptions, and maintaining the quality and reliability of the products or services being supplied.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills and have a demonstrated history of leading continuous improvement activities.

What you'll do:

Supplier Selection Process: Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier selection process that includes qualification, evaluation, and contracting. Establish clear criteria for supplier qualification, including financial stability, quality standards, and compliance with industry regulations.Onboarding: Integrate the supplier into the organization's systems and processes, ensure they meet quality and compliance standards, and establish SNC procedures, with a focus on building strong supplier relationships.Performance Management: Create processes to monitor the supplier's performance, address any issues, and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Track KPIs and scorecards to assist this processSupplier Innovation and Development: Collaborate with suppliers to identify opportunities for innovation, provide support and resources to help them develop new products or processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with Diversity and Sustainability team as neededSupplier Notification of Change (SNC): Manage and optimize the SNC process throughout the supplier lifecycle to ensure transparency, minimize disruptions, and maintain the quality and reliability of the products or services being supplied. Develop and implement training programs for internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure they understand the SNC process and their responsibilities.Establish an SNC solution to track changes, their impact, and the actions taken to address them. Analyze SNC data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks that may impact the organization's supply chain.Collaborate with supply continuity, quality, and operational teams to develop and implement corrective actions to address any issues that arise as a result of SNC.Provide regular reports on the status of SNC, key findings, and recommendations for improvement.Supplier Offboarding: Ensure a smooth, efficient, and compliant offboarding process for suppliers who are no longer meeting the organization's needs or who are being terminated. Manage the offboarding process from initiation to closure, including communication with the supplier, transition planning, data transfer, and final invoicing.Develop and implement procedures for exit interviews and feedback to help improve the supplier management program.Collaborate with procurement, quality, and operational teams to address any outstanding issues and ensure a smooth transition to a new supplier or alternative solution.Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of offboarding, key findings, and recommendations for improvement.Overall:Stay current on industry best practices, regulations, and trends related to SNC and supplier management to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.Continuously seek opportunities to improve the supplier management program and SNC process to drive cost savings, improve efficiency, and enhance supplier relationships.Lead implementation of the Supplier process for any M&A or divestiture activities.Lead implementation of the future state IT solution for effective Supplier Management.

What you'll bring:

Proven track record of success in supplier management, including experience in supplier selection, onboarding, performance management, offboarding, and SNOC management.Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Science is preferred)5+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated project management experienceDemonstrated experience managing continuous improvement projectsExperience managing employees is preferredMust have experience in Quality Systems or managing global processes in the healthcare or other regulated industry (Pharma, Medical Device etc.)Experience in Supplier Quality and/or Change Control is strongly preferredExperience producing analytic reports for high-level audiences is desiredExperience in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plusStrong knowledge of supplier management software and tools, with a focus on SNOC management. IT deployment experience is preferredStrong knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Prior experience in process development and implementation requiredExpertise in problem solving and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience leading multiple projects simultaneously and ability to navigate uncertainty and ambiguityStrong presentation and facilitation skillsAttention to detail while moving projects forward with sense of urgency and speedProficient in MS Word, Excel, with Visio, SharePoint preferredProven data drive, analytical, and fact-based approach to problem solvingAble to read, write and speak English proficiently
