About the people you will be collaborating with Reporting directly to the Global Head of Strategic Finance Supporting the Office of the CFO to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in developing and driving the strategic business agenda for Aon Responsible for driving key strategic initiatives that will increase organizational capability and efficiency, including change initiatives, employee engagement, communications, project management, new business ventures and operations We are a high performing team that meets in person to build relationships with stakeholders, learn, teach and collaborate. What the day will look like The Senior Manager of Strategic Finance will play a pivotal role in Aon’s Finance function, contributing to the overall success and strategic direction of the organization. This role will collaborate closely with various teams across the function and with the business. This role is based in New York and given flexibility to work remotely. Support the firm’s Strategic Plan process and goal setting in coordination with Corporate Planning & Analytics Collaborate with business to support development of compelling strategies, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals Perform TAM analysis, conduct thorough analysis of market trends and identify opportunities to support investment decisions Maintain an external mindset, including staying on top of consumer, competitive, and macroeconomic / geopolitical trends Execute against time-sensitive requests from Aon’s Executive Committee and cross-functional business partners Support agenda and materials development for executive meetings and audiences Drive strategic projects that cut across global Aon Act as a leader in coordinating cross-functional transformational projects Success factors for the role Execution of strategic plans and transformation initiatives Positive impact on the company's growth and profitability Actionable and effective reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors Strategic planning, Strategic management, Executive communication, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Analytics, Leadership, Adaptability Skills and experience that will lead to success 7+ years proven experience in a financial strategy or related role Proven track record of driving successful strategic initiatives, identifying opportunities and driving change through creativity, relationship building and focused execution Strategic thinking and analytical skills Excellent analytical, financial, and project management skills Ability to communicate and break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation Clear communicator with excellent written / presentation skills including experience in creating Executive and Board of Directors materials Self-starter with a keen sense of ownership and commitment to the work, a passion to deliver results, and the ability to balance attention to detail / accuracy with tight deadlines on critical projects Inquisitive on industry trends and best practices Being proactive, anticipating needs and staying out ahead of them Experience in corporate planning, business unit Finance, strategy, and operations a plus Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, MBA or relevant master’s degree is preferred How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $135,000 - $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, New York. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
