The Senior Manager – Site Quality Management leads a diverse team of hourly and salaried Quality team members. The Senior Manager provides strategic leadership and direction to all levels within the site and ensures a healthy Quality Management system and a robust product quality signature. The Senior Manager leads planning, direction and control of all product inspections and the organization’s overall Quality system health, including the Quality Clinic
What You Will Do
Site Quality leader that oversees Rockford Plant 1 facility (Rockford, IL) responsible for quality engineering, compliance, quality clinic, materials engineering and lab, nondestructive testing and inspection across OE and MRO operationsOwn the execution of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) and the operational direction, for the Rockford Plant 1 BusinessInfluence others outside of own job function regarding policies, practices, and procedures to drive a strong, site-wide quality culture.Work with other operating departments to resolve problems relative to product design, specifications, materials, tooling and production operations affecting quality.Develop, deploy, enhance, drive, and implement plant-wide quality improvement projects through in-depth analysis of defect trends, manufacturing yields and KPC, to ensure delighted customers and to build customer and employee confidence in the performance of our products.Ensure compliance and adherence to QMS and Internal audit system to meet AS9100/AS9145/AS13100, FAA certifications, and Customer requirements.Responsible for all regulatory, FAA, and Customer AuditsLead implementation of organization projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.Manage teams providing production process analyses, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvement.Drive and engage collaborative relationships with key functional groups to achieve desired business results.Overall accountability for CAB, MRB, Clinic activities and process robustnessEstablish systems to support data integrity and accessibility.Direct day-to-day quality deliverables and initiatives, including Certificate of Conformance review, shipment data packages, root cause investigation, calibration, tooling inspection, non-conformance control and documentation.Drive product and process improvements ensuring value stream quality metric goals are met, including Escapes, Scrap, Rework, Throughput, Process Certification, ZDP and PPAP.Organize, promote and lead quality improvement efforts.Focus on Employee Engagement through communication, training, teaming, management practices, and employee respect to foster a diverse culture of engaged and committed employees.Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62Qualifications We Prefer

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
