The opportunity

 

Senior Manager, Regional Procurement Directs leads Key Sourcing Events in Teva in Europe for a wide variety of direct materials for Teva sites in Europe. The role cooperates within the procurement matrix organization with Category Management and Sourcing Operations and is part of the Regional Procurement Europe Team. Senior Manager, Regional Procurement Directs strives to generate and deliver ongoing commercial value through RFPs, eAuctions as well as negotiations (price, working capital) and ensures security of supply in line with current and future business needs at competitive total cost.

 

The Role Owner is also responsible for operating in compliance with the Global Procurement framework with its policies, systems and processes and aligns with relevant International Stakeholders as well as Teva´s strategical and financial goals to help develop and ensure delivery of all relevant direct categories strategies and functional solutions within Europe. This role generates year-over-year savings, focuses on Total Cost of Ownership approach (TCO), and is achieving the targeted working capital improvements (payment terms). 

How you’ll spend your day

 

•    Accountable for strategic sourcing of projects/goods for direct spend category across Europe. 
•    Act as a liaison to internal Procurement teams, stakeholder functions and business unit leaders. Establish and maintain close lines of communication with the production facilities, supply chain regarding the procurement of raw materials in the desired quantities and desired delivery requirements.
•    Part of the Procurement European Hub, for regional and local negotiations.
•    Responsible for implementing the global strategies into plant level. 
•    Follow and report internal processes for new suppliers and raw materials and its cost associated to them.
•    Demand Management: Ensure that the business requirements of all key stakeholders and scopes of work are well understood and accurately covered in the sourcing process. Influence business demand where required and possible.
•    Sourcing Strategy: Develop sourcing strategies in accordance with the respective category strategy. Define approach to market and develop source selection criteria based on the business priorities and requirement. 
•    Manages a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future business needs, maintaining and promoting sound relationships with an extensive network of suppliers as well as the wider business community.
•    Develops risk management strategies and recommends short- and long-term initiatives with defined risks/benefits. Secure delivery on and monitor alternate sources introduction for selected materials.
•    Understand Stakeholders needs and strives on cost-reduction and regional supplier’s consolidation; taking active role in negotiation contracts to settle best prices and delivery time, aligned to GPP, compliance standards and code of conduct.
•    Support AOP process for the SKUs under administration, update and maintenance of savings (CR and CA) into WAVE system.
•    Analyze and act according with the NTM and FTC information received from Global Quality and Legal team respectively.
 

Your experience and qualifications

 

University Degree in Business / Chemistry / Sciences/ Industrial engineering  7+ years of professional procurement experience within global organization, direct spend focus  Pharma industry experience: 2+ years preferred  Proficiency in spoken and written English Professional certification in purchasing or supply chain is desirable, e.g. from ISM (CPSM, CSM, CPM), from APICS (CPIM, CIRM), from EPIM, etc. Understanding contract laws needed Strong interpersonal skills including cross-functional teamwork  Demonstrated excellence in preparation and execution of sourcing strategies, management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), supplier selection methods and negotiations.  Experience with Sourcing/Procurement tools and methodologies, RFI, RFP, RFQ, bids Evaluations, cost models, strong negotiation skills for pre and post contract awards. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Solid understanding of procurement best practices  Exceptional analytical skills, strong multi-cultural skills, high energy level, and a bias towards action Ability to collaborate and influence with stakeholders, teams and colleagues Ability to draw strategic insights from analysis and effectively summarize and present insights  Ability to model and quantify financial benefits for identified opportunities and initiatives  MS office skilled (e.g., excel and power point) Excellent change management Already Working @TEVA?
