**What you will do:**
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Quality and Mission Assurance (QA/MA) team at ELCAN. Reporting to the General Manager and sitting on ELCAN’s Leadership Team, the Senior Manager, QA/MA will ensure that customer expectations and end-user objectives are satisfied, while ensuring the successful integration and execution of ELCAN policies, processes, and procedures.
The Senior Manager, QA/MA will lead a team of approximately 30 professionals covering: Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, Final Inspection, Receiving Inspection, Calibration, Environmental Test Lab, and Records Management. The successful candidate will be appointed as the management representative with responsibility to oversee the organization’s Quality Management System and maintain the site AS9100D & ISO 9001:2015 certification. Working as a trusted partner within the business, this position will engage on both a tactical and strategic planning level, focusing on quality, customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the quality of incoming, delivered products and services to the customer, management of quality risks and opportunities, leadership in resolution of issues, and successful management of customer expectations and relationships as it relates to QA/MA.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and develop the QA/MA team while working closely with the Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain team to meet customer requirements.
+ Develop and implement the quality strategy in support of improved customer satisfaction and long-term growth.
+ Work to continuously improve ELCAN’s Quality Management System and maintain AS9100D & ISO9001:2015 certification.
+ Provide leadership to solve product and process quality challenges efficiently and implement corrective action to prevent re-occurrence.
+ Utilize key performance indicators and drive team actions to ensure ELCAN targets are achieved.
+ Monitor and lead root cause corrective action and failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system activities for systemic issues.
+ Generate and implement new Cost of Quality projects to reduce costs on programs.
+ Maintain and execute strategic workforce plans to support employee development and cross training.
+ Foster and maintain cooperative relationships across all functions within the business.
+ Prepare departmental budgets (expense and capital), and meet or exceed financial expectations.
+ Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills by effectively guiding teams, adapting to change, and promoting a collaborative work environment with a strong focus on culture
**Qualifications we are looking for:**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical discipline preferred.
+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in quality management, quality assurance, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading quality initiatives in a manufacturing or operational environment.
+ Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in quality
+ Experience with Quality Management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO13485, or equivalent.
+ Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
+ Experience with Integrated Product Development System or similar gate management process.
+ Proficient in quality assurance methodologies and tools, including root cause analysis, statistical process control, six sigma tools, and risk management.
+ Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, capable of interpreting complex data sets and making informed decisions.
+ Effective verbal and written communication and networking skills with the ability to act as both a strategic and tactical leader.
