Senior Manager, Maintenance

Summary

We have an exciting new opportunity within our largest grain export facility located in Belle Chasse, LA. The Senior Manager, Maintenance reports to the Sr. Director of Production Operations and is responsible for an annual budget of $13 million dollars, managing all engineering/maintenance activities, and maintenance/engineering staff to ensure continuous 24/7 operations. In addition, the Senior Manager, Maintenance will play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives to drive value for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for leading and motivating people while managing through change in our largest grain export facility, recently expanded to increase barge unloading capacity.

Responsibilities Establish the overall Maintenance strategy and planning for the Myrtle Grove terminal facility.Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) system to monitor and identify improvement opportunities in facility reliability and asset utilization.Champion new ideas to drive organizational effectiveness. Establish performance standards, metrics, and monitoring systems for planning Myrtle Grove facilities and equipment, the admin office, and the formulation & purchasing departments, and may have input in this regard at other plants.Ensure high levels of productivity, efficiency, safety, and team performance. Approve location budgets and establish and manage the budget of assigned locations/departments.Collaborate to maximize plant productivity, safety, regulations, and purchasing to meet Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) volume, processing efficiency, product quality, customer satisfaction, and operating expense goals to maximize CHS profitability.Establishes practices in maintenance activities such as asset condition assessments, predictive maintenance, criticality ranking, workflow process, Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) implementations, and associated financial and performance management.Provide leadership and guidance for training on critical safety programs and achieve objectives through people management, organizational development, and employee engagement. Strong emphasis on the development of overall engineering and maintenance talent.Act as a steward of LEAN philosophy through knowledge of Continuous Improvement, active (boots on the ground) leadership, a keen ear for listening, and the ability to identify problems and areas of improvement while coaching others.Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (required) High School Diploma or GED5+ years' experience in operations, maintenance, supply chain and/or engineeringPrior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilitiesAdditional Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Systems Engineering, Statistics, or a related fieldGeneral knowledge of electrical specificationsExperience with Human Machine Interface systems (HMI)LEAN Sensi CertificationExperience leading projects Experience leading and managing the budget processPhysical Requirements Considerable periods on feet including walking, standing, climbing stairs, and ladders.Will be required to lift and use tools.Must be able to push, pull, and physically lift up to 50 lbs.Will be required to work while squatting, kneeling, or crawling. Must be able to work in noisy, dusty, and otherwise undesirable conditions.Work at heights occasionally up to 120 ft.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
