POSITION SUMMARY:                                  

Advanced Energy is on the lookout for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in IT Infrastructure Leadership, specializing in Cloud Data Center Management, Global Site Server Services, and Tier 3 Technical Support. This pivotal role involves leading a global team dedicated to delivering comprehensive support for both hardware and software server services within our cloud data centers. The ideal candidate will not only oversee the management of team and staff performance but will also be instrumental in driving continuous process enhancements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate closely with the Global Head of IT Infrastructure to architect, develop, and maintain robust cloud architecture solutions. Oversee and enhance the performance of diverse teams of IT professionals. Guarantee the effective and streamlined operation of daily cloud data center activities. Serve as the go-to expert for all facets of data center operations. Meet and exceed all operational KPIs and performance metrics. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technological innovation, and process automation within the team. Lead the management of significant operational events, including system outages, and act as the primary coordinator during such incidents. Optimize data center workflows and throughput to ensure peak operational efficiency. Champion service excellence, consistently seeking ways to elevate the quality and scope of our offerings.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Based in the vibrant cities of Fort Collins or Denver, Colorado. Operates within a dynamic office setting.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive expertise in change management, problem resolution, and incident management. Proficiency in security protocols and safeguarding customer data. Exceptional communication abilities, capable of engaging presentations, open discussions, and effective team mentorship. Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Financial acumen, particularly in annual budgeting, capital expenditure (Capex), and operational expenditure (Opex). Strong project management capabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of data center operations, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience in implementing data center safety and security protocols. Proficient in data center server/VM capacity planning. Certification in ITIL Foundation. Linux certification and/or administration experience (e.g., RHCSA/RHCE, LPIC, Linux+). Leadership experience in managing Cloud Data Centers, including platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon Web Services.

 

EXPERIENCE:                                              

A minimum of 5 years in people management, with direct oversight of team performance. At least 10 years of experience in Data Center support, with a minimum of 7 years in cloud-based environments.

 

EDUCATION:                                                                                    

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline

 

COMPENSATION:                           

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $135,000 to $190,000 per year.
