Amazon’s overall mission is simple: to be the place where customers can find, discover and buy anything online. Whatever customers want, Amazon will find the means to deliver it. With your help, Amazon will continue to enable people to discover new worlds and implement innovation. This is your chance to make history.
We are looking for a smart, team oriented, highly analytical leader to help grow our business. As the Senior Manager leading Instock Management and Inbound Vendor Excellence for Australia you will be responsible for developing and leading a high performing function in supply chain (forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, customer availability) helping drive innovation growth, facilitating positive relationships externally with vendors and internally with peers and Amazon’s global technical teams, and supporting the Australian leadership team. This role will have significant responsibility as it will lead a centralised instock team covering all Amazon retail businesses and categories.
You will have a broad skill set including strong relationship and stakeholders management, leadership development, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for helping build an extraordinary shopping experience for Amazon’s customers. You must be willing to challenge the status quo in order to help improve existing workflows and processes to optimize customer and vendors experience. You will lead the team to work with vendors of all sizes and must have sufficient presence and communication skills to represent Instock Management across departments.
You will coordinate key workflows across Australia, and at times Emerging Markets, to drive automation adoption, monitor capacity and inbound throughput constraints, challenge inventory health and implement availability initiatives. Developing a relationship with technical partners outside of AU in buying and inventory management systems (Supply Chain Optimization Technologies), you will shape the direction of the tools used in Australia and assist with the rollout strategies. You will work with partners in Operations and Finance to identify and deliver cost-out initiatives by reducing inbound defects while improving vendor experience.
As the business evolves you will advise leadership on organizational requirements. Working with your counterparts in the other Established and Emerging Markets, you will be responsible for the general education and well-being of the entire In-stock Management and Inbound Vendor Excellence community, including contributing to the recruitment strategy and execution.
Key job responsibilities

- Developing and executing best practices in managing inventory to ensure optimal availability, efficiency, and product sourcing decisions.
- Managing relationships with vendors to maintain a reliable and operationally effective flow of goods.
- Forecasting and managing inbound inventory processes, including forecasting, purchasing, and reducing unproductive inventory.
- Making recommendations on inventory management strategies and channel management.
- Measuring and improving vendor lead times, reducing operational defects, and streamlining operations between vendors and Amazon.
- Collaborating with internal teams to drive tools and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflows, with a focus on automation.
