Senior Manager, HR Consultant

Our HR Consulting team manages dynamic HR cases from business leaders across the enterprise related to HR practices and policies. Team members use a consultative approach to partner on topics such as compensation, benefits, staffing, talent management, performance management and policy interpretation. The HR Consultant Team also drives HR functional excellence and ongoing process improvement.

Schwab HR Consultants advise and provide thought partnership on team dynamics, organizational changes, and planning initiatives while identifying key trends and recommending actions. HR Consultants also partner with and provide support to HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure successful execution of business programs and initiatives. 

In this role, you will apply a consultation approach and leverage critical thinking to analyze information, pinpoint trends, and propose clear solutions/recommendations with our future in mind. Our HR Consulting team elevates leader capabilities, creates a positive employee experience, cultivates an engaged, inclusive, and productive work environment, which enables superior company performance.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

7+ years previous HR experience (e.g., HR Generalist, Leadership & Development, Compensation, etc.).Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

HR Generalist and consultative HR experience preferred.Proven effectiveness in providing coaching, feedback, and perspective to guide others’ thinking and help them fully develop their own capabilities.Experience applying strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, diagnosing the root-cause of issues, identifying trends, and providing clear recommendations/solutions Successful history of executing people initiatives, providing effective internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. Skilled at developing strong partnerships across a multitude of HR functions in matrixed environment.Experience using HR analytics and metrics to help inform business decisions. Ability to summarize and highlight key insights and trends.Demonstrated ability to understand and execute against HRBP and HR Centers of Expertise (COE) responsibilities/deliverables while recommending innovative approaches, as needed. Ability to offer creative and effective solutions to near term issues and identify opportunities for longer term strategic outcomes.Proven effectiveness exercising sound judgment and autonomy to determine methods, techniques, and approaches to achieve effective results in partnership with HRBPs. Experience partnering and driving effective collaboration with HR COEs and key business partners (e.g., finance, oversight, real estate, etc.)Experience supporting annual HR programs, including but not limited to, performance management, talent review, pay planning, and engagement; experience collaborating with HRBPs to ensure necessary resources are in place in alignment with organizational goals.Experience partnering with leadership on team building approaches and team effectiveness, providing insights and advising leaders on recommended actions.Ability to prioritize initiatives and apply sound time management skills, especially when under tight timelines or competing deadlines, remaining proactive and flexible where needed.Strong growth mindset with the ability to positively respond to performance feedback for continuous learning and development.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: ability to synthesize information, present in a clear and concise format, and directionally influence outcomes.Other Skills/CompetenciesData ManagementMicrosoft Office / TableauProcess and Project ManagementResource UtilizationAdaptabilityInnovationOrganizational and Business AcumenMatrix ManagementContinuous Learning
