Senior Manager, Demand Generation
Job Description:

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Demand Generation leads the team in bringing best-in-class demand generation programs from concept to execution and optimization.  This role is responsible for leading a team of talented program owners through the planning, forecasting, execution, and measurement of Workhuman’s strategic new business marketing initiatives, with the ultimate goal of growing our open pipeline.

**Please note this is a hybrid role based out of our Framingham, MA office**

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development: Architect and implement multi-channel demand generation plans and strategies to drive responses and MQLs from our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).

Campaign Management: Oversee the planning and execution of marketing campaigns at scale across quarters. Have a defined point of view on optimizations, recommended shifts, and stop/start/continue actions.

Analytics and Reporting: Use data to tell a cohesive story about Demand Generation’s contribution to the business. Understand trends, best practices, and benchmarks; work with business analytics and business development teams to inform optimizations.

Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and guide a multi-layered team of talented professionals.

Budget Management: Manage program budget across media channels, planned activations, speaking engagements, and technology investments in collaboration with senior leadership.

Collaboration and Internal Advocacy: Develop strong relationships across marketing leaders, business development, sales, and other critical internal stakeholders to align demand generation efforts with overall business goals and a seamless presales experience.  

Role Requirements

Demonstrated experience and progressive increasing responsibility in a B2B technology demand generation environment

Comfort and adaptability in evolving business environments; ability to interpret business shifts into recommendations for team strategy

Deep knowledge and appreciation for pre-sales buying experience through the lense of business development KPIs

Passion for empowering, leading, and motivating a team

Ability to constantly refine and optimize program playbooks thoughtfully

Familiarity with both top and down-funnel marketing metrics to inform program efficacy at all stages

Knowledge/Experience:

Proficient with marketing tools, including CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation (Marketo), and Microsoft Suite

Experience with measurement and reporting in digital marketing tools like 6Sense, Google Analytics, Amazon Quicksite, Marketo, and Salesforce

Deep analytical skills to evaluate new opportunities against the status quo for optimal planning

Skills/Competencies

College Degree or equivalent work experience

Account based marketing or field marketing experience a plus

Able to adapt to changing needs from key stakeholders and pivot projects/deliverables to fit new objectives

Excellent communicator and relationship builder that can set expectations around projects and deliver both good and bad news to key stakeholders

Qualifications

College Degree or equivalent work experience

Minimum 10+ years experience, 5+ years in an enterprise software/SaaS business
