Job Description
The Role
This role is responsible for planning and execution of professional services and second tier customer support for a team of Data Conversion Specialists. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling, and facilitating billable and support work, capacity planning, performance management, employee retention, career growth, and facilitating the growth and sharing of conversion subject matter expertise. This role will work with other professional services managers and project managers to deliver successful customer projects and drive continual improvements. They will also work with product support staff and managers to ensure prompt and effective customer technical support on data conversion issues. This role will use their thought leadership and exceptional change management skills to drive new initiatives, foster profitable growth, and help drive and guide the company's conversion sales strategy. The role will ensure alignment across functional groups and ensure service delivery is consistent across products.Job Duties Include:
•Manage the day-to-day activities of a technical services team by providing coaching, leadership, and guidance.•Motivate and encourage the development team by ensuring goals are properly defined and achieved.•Communicate and coordinate with team members, other company staff and leaders, customers, and vendors.•Drive toward revenue goals by maximizing employee billable utilization and efficiency.•Incorporate lessons learned from past projects and work tactfully to inspire faster adoption, greater utilization, and higher proficiency by employees.•Drive positive customer outcomes from professional services•Communicate and coordinate with team members, other company staff and leaders, customers, and vendors.•Integrate new technology and solutions effectively and improve process efficiency.•Review customer-specific statements of work. Review, analyze, and suggest changes•Develop and present plans to implement any recommended changes•Advise on data conversion industry trends, product development, and sales strategy.•Develop and carry out communications to the company's senior stakeholders, company staff, and internal and external project teams.•Facilitate process consistency across product lines and teams.•Mentor other managers•Drive for efficiency. Provide and encourage technical learning on team. Ensure a consistent approach to onboarding new employees•Oversee the data conversion pricing model•Assist with data extract planning, explaining the conversion processes, defining data requirements and other activities to prepare for data conversion•Lead team in assembling relevant data for specific projects and assist with pre-processing or basic data analysis.•Strategic leadership in the development of new reports to address business requirements or internal issues.•Manage multiple projects and effectively communicating status updates with internal stakeholders.•Work with escalated clients to address real and perceived software and services shortcomings. Remediate customer projects•Review, analyze, and request additional hardware and/or cloud resources to improve delivery models•Performs all other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in a computer science, computer information systems, data analytics, related field, or relevant work history•3-5 Years of direct data conversion, data migration, or ETL work. Previous enterprise software implementation experience•Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite•Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results.•Exceptional problem-solving skills with an adaptive, analytical, innovative, and creative mindset•Able to manage time effectively and encourage team collaboration.•Ability to structure and manage intensive workloads.•High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with increasingly diverse clients and teams.•Strong technical aptitude. Ability to understand complex SQL queries and ETL jobs
