We have and exciting opportunity for a **Senior Manager, Contract** who will be the Contracts team lead for the Stinger Launchers portfolio within the Land and Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and requires an experienced Contracts Leader with responsibility for the portfolio of contracts and Contracts personnel supporting both the U.S. Government directly and as a major supplier to an industry partner. Reporting to the Associate Director, Contracts for the Stinger portfolio, this leadership position will be responsible for establishing Customer relationships to deal with complex situations and deliver creative solutions in support of interdependent proposal development activities, negotiations, contract management, as well as personnel development. Competitive candidates must have strong aptitude in U.S. DoD contracting and experience as a subcontractor to domestic Prime Contractor. Additionally, this role will involve analyzing risk, developing / supporting mitigation plans, analysis of commercial terms and conditions risk and negotiations, understanding the implications of contract financing, U.S. export control law and regulation, provide contractual and business guidance to the capture team and be expected to have regular communication with Stinger and sub-SBU leadership. **What You Will Do** + Advise program team and leadership of contractual and performance execution risks, rights and obligations and means to mitigate business, contractual, and/ or program risks + Ability to understand the financial aspects for overall business interests, contracts and other business arrangements; ability to develop and execute negotiation strategy resulting in a financially sound, risk tolerable, executable contract action + Develop customer engagement strategies necessary for successful contract execution and resolution of challenges and risks + Partner with team in shaping customer interface, ensuring that terms and conditions comply with policies and guidelines, contemplate risk mitigation measures, ensure an executable program and ability to recognize revenue and collect cash + Leadership and development responsibility for a Contracts Professional + Estimated quarterly domestic travel to our customer sites **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance + Experience as a Contracts Lead or direct engagement with external customers + Experience in the development and/ or evaluation of proposals, including fact-finding and negotiations + Experience in U.S. Government contracting in a Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/ Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) environment and / or other related U.S. Government regulations or statutes **Qualifications We Prefer** + Experience with being a subcontractor to a domestic prime contractor & subject matter expertise in general contracting + Foundational understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)/ Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and terms and conditions analysis and negotiations + Strong aptitude for developing and maintaining productive and influential relationships + Effective, executive level oral and written communication skills + Strong business acumen **What We Offer** Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
