American Express National Bank (AENB) is American Express’ U.S. banking operation serving consumer and small business customers with payments, financing, and savings products. AENB accounts for more than 60% of the overall company’s revenues and net income. AENB HQ drives the administration of programs and services provided by AENB, in partnership with the various businesses, functions and executive officers. The AENB COO Office also plays an enterprise role in driving greater consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency across the first line via its Strategic Planning, Control Management, Program Management, and Governance functions. The Senior Manager, AENB Affiliate Governance & Audit & Exam Management will primarily be responsible for implementing an end-to-end internal and external exam program for the AENB Affiliate Management Program, including pre-exam and -audit planning, post-exam and -audit closures, and overall driving effective and efficient exam and audit management. They will also be responsible for maintaining the Affiliate Management Program Document and procedures to ensure program adherence to American Express National Bank: Third-Party Management (AENB 10) and the Interagency Guidance on Third-Party Relationships: Risk Management. **Responsibilities:** + Supporting the day-to-day internal (2 nd line of defense reviews, 3 rd line of defense audits) and external regulatory exam management processes, working with the Affiliate Management Team (e.g., responding to audit and exam information/data requests) + Creating audit and exam related presentations for internal auditors, external examiners, senior leaders, and committees + Leading and participating in remediation efforts of exam and audit findings + Owning a general list of affiliate management processes improvements and project managing the completion of those process improvements + Ensuring the AENB Affiliate Management Program complies with the AENB 10 by owning updating and maintaining the Program Document and procedures. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) + Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities + Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills + Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards + Proven ability to proactivity identify areas of potential risk and implement processes to control and mitigate that risk. + Strong attention to detail and superior organizational and follow through skills. + Ability to effectively work with colleagues across the company including within various affiliate management and outsourcing government teams, 2 nd and 3 rd lines of defense, regulators, and senior leaders across the globe. + Proven ability to focus on innovation and process improvements. + Proven ability to drive teams toward high productivity and sustained performance. + Adapts well to and initiates change in the organization. + Strong written and oral communication skills; good presentation skills with the ability to influence business leaders and partners and understand and communicate linkages across initiatives and disciplines. **Qualifications** Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
