Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for generating monthly management accounts for various entities, including balance sheets, income statements, and accompanying schedulesEnsure accuracy of Management Accounts packs and meet established deadlinesAnalyze Budget Vs Actual variances and communicate findingsConduct reconciliations and generate reports for various company accounts pertaining to cash flowProvide management and guidance to Cashbook , Payments & Creditors Controller and Credit ControllerPrepare audit packs and collaborate with auditors on annual financial statementsHandle submission of statutory returns for VATReview payments for accuracy of allocation and VAT treatmentPerform regular review of cashbooks, invoicing, and debtors age analysis, assisting in credit control managementAuthorise payments on the banking portalInvestigate Expense variances and incorporate findings into Income Statement schedules as notesAddress and follow up on accounts queries promptlyManage ad hoc projects, queries, and analyses as neededProvide assistance to the Financial ManagerEvaluate and enhance the system of internal controls and promote more efficient management systemsProduce precise monthly management accounts within agreed timelines

Qualifications:

Minimum requirement: BCom in Accounting

Experience:

Proven experience as an Accountant Excellent Excel experience Proven experience in commercial / corporate / operational environmentExperience as an Accountant in an operational environmentSolid knowledge of financial processes, systems and related lawsMust have been responsible for managing accounts to balance sheet and income statementMust have been responsible for ensuring that accounts are accurate and meaningful, and information contained in the accounts is accurate and relevant.

Skills and Attributes

Computer literate (experience in Google Drive, Sheets and Docs preferable)Numerical Proficiency. Must have a strong aptitude for working with numbers, performing calculationsMust possess Leadership skills, someone that has the ability to inspire and motivate a team Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing and preparing financial documents, ensuring accuracy and complianceProblem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify financial discrepancies, investigate root causes, and propose solutions to resolve issues effectively.Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software such as XeroProven organisational skillsExcellent written and communication skillsGood time management skills Able to perform manage deadlines and meet themAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyResponsible, accountable and dedicated

We offer Barista produced coffee available all day to all our staff at Claremont.

Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45-minute lunch break. The company allows employees, by approval of the direct manager, to work flexi-time between 07h00 and 18h00.

With centrally located and modern offices just across from Cavendish in Claremont, Faircape offers a market-related salary. The amount offered will be dependent on qualifications, experience, and other market-related factors.
