Job Title: QA-Senior Leader Engineer

Location: Chennai, Gurugram, India

Experience: 8+ years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on QA-Senior Leader Engineer with over 8 years of experience in manual and automation testing, and exposure to performance testing. The ideal candidate will lead a QA team of 5–10 engineers, be actively involved in Agile delivery cycles, and contribute directly to sprint activities. The QA-Senior Leader Engineer should bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a QA team of 5–10 testers (manual and automation).Own the quality assurance strategy, planning, and execution across all phases of the SDLC.Be hands-on in manual and automation testing – contribute actively during Agile sprints.Define and implement robust test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for web, API, and backend services.Work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps to integrate QA processes in CI/CD pipelines.Drive test automation strategy using tools such as Selenium, Functionize, or similar frameworks.Collaborate with performance testing engineers or contribute to performance testing activities as needed.Conduct code reviews for automation scripts and support test data management.Track QA metrics, create test reports, and drive quality improvements across the team.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation in QA practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

10+ years of QA experience with at least 3+ years in a QA leadership or managerial role.Strong experience in both manual testing and test automation.Solid exposure to performance testing tools and concepts.Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum ceremonies, and CI/CD pipelines.Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Functionize, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, or similar.Strong knowledge of testing APIs, web applications, and integration workflows.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Experience working with defect management and test lifecycle tools like JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Familiarity with BDD/TDD practices and frameworks like Cucumber.Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
