The Senior Landscape Architect works with a diverse range of clients to create vibrant places ranging from urban parks, plazas and streetscapes within a variety of market sectors, including civic, health, science and technology, education, and transit / transportation. The successful candidate would augment and collaborate with a growing team of designers in the following capacity:
Responsibilities:
Provide discipline leadership within multidisciplinary teamsCollaborate with architects, planners, engineers and other disciplines on commercial and institutionally scaled planning and design projectsDevelop site and public realm design, from master planning and concept development through construction documentationCreate illustrative concept drawings using 3D and 2D digital illustration tools, free hand drawing, and digital color renderingsLead zoning and site plan approvals, public involvement, design charrettes, development programming, and design implementationProvide construction documentation and observation services including field observation of landscape installation and plant selectionSupporting development of strong client relationships; engaged in business development and marketing efforts to win workMentor younger professionals to further their growth in design and implementation, client management, and their influence in the design culture within the studioPreferred QualificationsA minimum of 12-15 years design and production experience working as landscape architect preferredExperience with the full range of planning and design phases including site analysis, community and site planning, conceptual development, construction documentation and observationDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary design teamsExperienced in planting design and construction documentation in OntarioSignificant construction document preparation experienceProficiency with AutoCAD/ Civil 3D, Land F/X and Adobe Creative Suite3D modeling and rendering skills are preferred with experience using Revit Environment, Rhino, Lumion, VRAY, Enscape, Twinmotion, etc.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering A minimum of 10 years experience Professional registration Experience with large-scale master planning AutoCAD and Photoshop Extensive experience in all phases of landscape architectural projects and their management Excellent oral and written communication skills and working in a team environment Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
