Senior IWM Engineer

This role is for a Senior IWM Consultant to join the Victorian IWM team. The team is diverse, dynamic and has been established for almost three years. The team is looking for a senior consultant to drive the technical knowledge in the team, win work, manage the delivery of projects and be an integral part of the wider water team. The IWM team works across several spaces, such as authoring policy and guidelines for state governments, creating IWM plans for new precincts and growth corridors, collaborates with data scientists to evaluate future scenarios and works with First Nations groups to deliver a holistic approach to water management. You will be joining a diverse team that has an inclusive and supportive team culture that is aiming to expand the IWM discipline across Australia. The team works with climate change consultants, civil and process engineers, data scientists and planners to deliver IWM projects.

Leading Victorian IWM projects and bids Supporting the project manager with commercial or technical project challenges Providing technical guidance and reviews for the project team Disseminating knowledge to junior engineers  Developing relationships with the Victorian IWM network to facilitate the IWM team’s growth

Is this role right for you?

Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or similar area; Relevant experience of the IWM discipline in Victoria, with at least 10 years of experience An understanding of the Victorian IWM forums and governance model, key IWM policy and guidance such as EPA Urban Stormwater Management targets. Relevant experience in delivery of IWM plans for precincts or catchments, experience in project and program management and design of water sensitive urban design (WSUD) assets (for example, wetlands, rain gardens etc)   An understanding of, or first hand design experience of water sensitive urban design, stormwater harvesting schemes or alternative water supply schemes in Victoria
