Reporting to the Director of IT Program Management Office (PMO), the Senior IT Program Manager manages strategic projects as part of the IT Program Management function of The Wilbert Group. The Wilbert Group is a $250 million company with four industry-leading brands, 1,200 employee partners, 100 licensee partners, and 300+ points of distribution. This role is a member of the Wilbert IT PMO group which collectively owns responsibility for managing all strategic projects prioritized by Wilbert leadership in pursuit of company objectives.The Senior IT Program Manager at The Wilbert Group is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing a portfolio of high-impact projects within one or more strategic programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions and significant business value. This senior role demands advanced strategic planning, precise estimating, prioritizing, and leading and mentoring project teams. The Senior IT Program Manager drives the adoption of best practices and innovative methodologies across the organization. Responsibilities include fulfilling advanced Scrum Master duties such as leading Scrum ceremonies, mentoring other Program Managers, and ensuring the continuous improvement of Agile processes. and Responsibilities Oversee multiple high-impact projects and programs, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with strategic goals.Collaborate with senior business leaders to define systems/project priorities, create and prioritize high-level project backlogs, and estimate project-level backlogs, focusing on timely delivery of significant business value.Provide strategic planning and visionary leadership for project teams.Mentor and guide project teams and other Program Managers, fostering professional growth and development.Lead and optimize Scrum ceremonies, ensuring adherence to Agile processes and continuous improvement.Champion the adoption of best practices and innovative methodologies across the organization.Communicate project and program status, risks, and issues to senior stakeholders, providing strategic insights and recommendations.Navigate and manage complex projects, addressing organizational challenges and driving solutions.Develop and implement advanced risk management strategies for projects and programs.Drive continuous improvement of Agile processes and practices, setting high standards for the organization.Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance within the organization.Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contract requirements and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Define and create comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW) for third-party engagements.Facilitate high-level project steering and sponsor meetings, including detailed project status reports.Oversee and report on project implementation, financials, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.Communicate and provide strategic support to users at all levels, understanding their job functions, business needs, technical complexities, and strategic direction to establish strong rapport with business units and team members.Plan, lead, organize, and motivate project teams to achieve exceptional performance and quality in delivering projects within established timelines.Demonstrate extensive experience and techniques and sharing knowledge with the program management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Credentials and ExperienceBachelor of Science degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.8+ years of related experience in a progression of positions, including 5 years in a project manager role.Professional certificates in project management are preferred.
