The Senior Investment Project Development Expert for Southeast Asia and Oceania is a key role within the Customer Applications team of our Process Solutions organization. This position supports and coordinates the sales of capital project opportunities for new facilities or facility expansions across all modalities, proposing integrated solutions for biomanufacturing processes to meet customer needs. The role focuses on driving Upstream and Downstream technology, process equipment (including single-use), BioContinuum™ automation offerings, digital engagement, and late-phase service adoption, all aimed at accelerating business growth and delivering additional value to our customers.

This position can be based in Singapore, Taiwan, or Indonesia and reports to the Head of Novel Modalities & Investment Projects APeC.

 

Your Role:

Collaborate closely with sales commercial teams throughout the sales journey to support sales efforts and close deals. Responsibilities include prospecting, lead management, opportunity qualification, defining offerings, negotiating deals, supporting purchase order execution with Commercial Project Managers, and after-sales services.Coordinate business sales activities with all franchise teams within the Customer Applications and sales organizations.Work with the commercial organization (Customer Excellence, Technical & Scientific Solutions, Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance, Operations, and Legal) to execute and finalize projects while monitoring profitability post-sale.Assist hardware and consumables teams in designing, customizing, and delivering solutions across the portfolio. Specifically in Singapore, serve as the single-use and systems expert for all customer inquiries, designs, and URS clarifications.Exhibit agility in providing differentiated and integrated solutions for complex projects and customer partnerships.Promote and position the value of solution sales, network with customers at both high and operational levels, identify key decision-makers, and guide the decision-making process.Present an overview of offerings to customers to encourage the adoption of integrated solutions. Gather and report local insights on the market, competition, regulations, and customer needs to the Marketing, Commercial, and Integrated Solutions teams. Build partnerships with A&E and automation companies to enhance the organization’s capabilities in integrated solutions.

 

Who You Are:

Hold a PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as science or engineering, or equivalent experience.A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the Life Science or Biotechnology industry.Extensive knowledge and expertise in large, complex capital expansion project sales, with a proven track record of successful wins, execution, and implementation. Strong knowledge and experience in single-use and systems applications in bioprocessing.Thrive in a team environment and demonstrate strong leadership skills.
Experience working with international teams through both face-to-face and remote communication.Understanding of advanced biopharma manufacturing processes, including expertise in process technologies, software for biopharma manufacturing automation, and analytics.In-depth knowledge of APAC GMP guidelines and current and future ICH standards (e.g., continuous manufacturing, instant release, QbD, and software).Strong understanding of biotech automation procedures, including process recipe creation and orchestration.Solid business acumen in the biologics market (mAbs, recombinant proteins) and novel modalities (mRNA, CGT, etc.).Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a matrix organization, coupled with strategic thinking.Ability to work autonomously in a highly organized and structured manner.Strong analytical and presentation skills.Proficient in both written and spoken English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with over 40% travel required.
