Role Summary:
The Medical and/or General Insurance Broker is specialized in offering tailored insurance solutions for businesses, focusing on both medical and general insurance needs.
This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, employee benefits, and commercial risks to ensure clients are comprehensively covered.
Business Consultation:
Engages with clients to understand their operations, risks, and insurance needs, ensuring the provision of suitable insurance products.
Conducts detailed evaluations of business operations to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of risk exposure.
Identifies pain points, likes, dislikes about current policies, and advises accordingly.
Policy Customisation:
Designs and recommends insurance packages that cover medical and general insurance needs, ensuring businesses are adequately protected against unforeseen events.
Works closely with underwriters and insurance companies to negotiate terms that align with client needs.
Renewals and Policy Management:
Regularly reviews and renews corporate insurance policies, updating coverage based on changes in business operations or risk profiles.
Assists clients where necessary in the utilization of their insurance policies.
Market Awareness:
Stays updated on the insurance market's latest trends, products, and regulatory changes, particularly those affecting the B2B segment.
New Business Development:
Attends industry events, seminars, workshops, and networking events to foster relationships with potential business clients and stay informed about industry developments and challenges.
Proven experience as an insurance broker, with a focus on the B2B market
Strong understanding of medical and general insurance products and their relevance to businesses
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
