Senior Instrumentation and Controls Specialist
Job Description SummaryThe Senior Instrumentation and controls Specialist will act as a leader / specialist in instrumentation and measurement techniques for the site Assembly & Test Organization. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

Manage and improve site instrumentation and measurement techniquesCollaborate with other GE test facilities to share best practices, and identify opportunities to drive consistency, simplification, and efficiency across sitesProduce plans to ensure technical requirements, costs, and schedules are metSet realistic and challenging goals for the support of test operationsProvide training and support to test design teams and operators Interface with both internal and external organizations and supporting functionsDirect / coordinate the efforts of project team members in order to accomplish overall goalsDevelop action plans to anticipate and respond to problemsCoordinate, direct, and coach the activities of operational support requirements and team membersProvide input on other individual contributor performance, training, and development needs

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in engineering, testing, instrumentations and controls experience)A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering, Facilities Management, System Testing, and / or Instrumentation
