Project Execution Support Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute high-level ICSS & Application Engineering deliverables on various national and international automation projects using ABB products and systems. You will interpret and analyze customer specifications and narratives and produce the control system to the system requirements.The work model for the role is: hybrid from our St Neots location {#LI-hybrid}This role is contributing to the Energy Industries business in the UK. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tProviding technical solutions on time and within budget, working closely with project managers and engineers to identify key resources, and taking ownership of allocated scopes. •\tTraining and mentoring new team members•\tInteracting with clients to interpret their needs and performing quality control on work deliverables. •\tReview engineering deliverables, monitor compliance with standards, coordinate technical queries, assist with technical sales presentations, and produce engineering estimates for bids.

Qualifications for the role

\tDegree (B.Eng or M.Eng) educated and be progressing towards Chartered Engineer status with proven relevant working experience, or an HNC/HND with significant relevant working experience. \tHands-on experience in process or safety systems, particularly in application engineering, HMI engineering, 3rd party communication interfaces, FAT, and SAT for process automation. \tExcellent knowledge of ICSS industry standards and specifications. \tExperience in design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of ICSS applications. \tAbility to work on multiple discipline projects. \tStrong decision-making, leadership, time management, and organizational skills. \tGood working knowledge of Networks, IT/OT Systems, and Cyber Security. \tExperience with ICSS systems like DCS/PCS, ESD, and F&G. \tFamiliarity with ABB systems (800xA, Symphony Plus, SG400, AC400, AC800M, Infi90, AC500) or equivalent systems. \tEngineer applications using IEC-61131-3 languages (FB, ST, SFC). \tKnowledge of industrial communications protocols \tIndustry knowledge in Networking, Cyber Security, IoT, Industry 4.0, SCADA, and PLC. \tSoftware experience in Network Management and virtual machines. \tFlexibility to travel within the UK and overseas (up to 30% of the time).
