We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to help us shape the future. In this role, you will work with hydrogeological modeling software, provide expertise on permitting processes and have the opportunity to lead environmental analyses that support nuclear environmental licensing projects nationwide. This exciting and impactful role can be based in one of our offices located in:

 

Kennesaw, GA Oklahoma City, OKNaperville, ILOverland Park, KSDallas, TX  Responsibilities

A typical day in this role is an exciting blend of field exploration and cutting-edge science, where you'll investigate potential groundwater sources and assess the impact of development on vital water resources. Every day is an opportunity to drive sustainable solutions that leave a lasting, positive impact on both the environment and communities.

 

Conduct field investigations to identify potential groundwater sourcesDevelop models to simulate groundwater flow and predict aquifer behavior under different conditionsUse of modeling tools to evaluate water resource availability and potential impactsPerform pump tests to measure hydraulic propertiesTest data to characterize groundwater flow patternsEvaluate the potential impacts of development, land use changes on groundwater resourcesDevelop remediation plans for contaminated groundwater sites. Monitor remediation activities and access their effectiveness over timeEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to groundwater management, water quality protection, and environmental permitting. Help prepare permit applications and environmental impact assessments as requiredPrepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings from hydrogeological studies and investigations. Communicate results to clients and regulatory agencies in a clear and understandable mannerManage hydrogeological projects from start to completions, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of fieldwork and laboratory testing activities

NEPA ComplianceGeographic Information System (GIS) ServicesNatural Resources Assessments & PermittingGeoscience & Remediation ServicesRadiological ServicesRegulatory Compliance Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science or related degree AND a minimum of 7 years of hydrogeology experienceGroundwater principals to include assessments, monitoring, and modeling experienceProficiency in hydrogeological modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW, Aquaveo, and GIS tools)Experience with field instrumentation and techniques for groundwater sampling and monitoringKnowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to groundwaterExcellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and “people” skillsAbility to travel between 25%-30% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on client needs, ranging up to a few days

Salary Range

The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. #LI-MB1

Pay Range USD $88,000.00 - USD $147,000.00 /Yr. Additional Information
