Senior HR Generalist

Summary

STERIS Malaysia is hiring a Senior HR Generalist for our Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) Division at the Kuala Ketil site. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Malaysia, you will be responsible for all Northern Malaysia sites in Kuala Ketil, Kulim and Batu Kawan as well as supporting Central Malaysia.

 

You will partner with managers and employees to provide human resources support and solutions, advice and counsel in areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, labor relations, employment law, health and safety, workers’ compensation, organizational development, performance management, training, relocation, and recruiting. 
 

What You Will Do Provide support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training and special projects Support HR Manager on core program rollout of compensation and performance management programs (merit planning, succession planning and bonus)  Work closely with the HR Manager as needed on strategic HR initiatives that may include Performance Management, Work force Planning, Employee Learning and Development, Diversity, Compliance, Recruitment, Exit and/or Compensation-related action items  Oversees/assists in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies (communication, on-boarding, assimilation, talent management)  Drive performance management initiatives for the business  Compile Annual Training Plan from department. Monitor the plan status Engage training providers as and when required by Department Manager  Manage Employee relations/Disciplinary according to company policy, Employment Act and Industrial Relations (IR) Assist employee to perform training as required from Learning – STERIS University and/or to conduct ILT, as and when necessary Attend to audit process by Labour office, SOCSO, EPF and IRB  Employee Benefits: Uniforms, Annual Dinner, Birthday, Employee Insurance renewal and claim Prepare monthly HR KPI and safety report Assist in implementing global projects: Lean, Safety and support the Managers by encouraging participation and involvement of all employees of each site Committee member of Safety The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Organisation Development with substantial experience in HR advisory and shared functions Working knowledge in HR related law and regulations in Malaysia (Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, OSHA, EPF, SOCSO, IRB, etc.) Well-versed in handling HRDC Grant Application and Claim submission Experience in Manpower management: Recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, Employee Relations, exit plan preparation, HR corporate project implementations support
