What you would do as our Senior Hosting Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hosting Engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate possesses a strong background in hosting and knowledge in DNS infrastructure and digital certificates, ensuring the security and integrity of our digital communications. You will be a member of the Global Hosting team that are responsible for all Hosting services in our Global Datacenters but specialized in the DNS & Certificate’s. You will be responsible for maintaining, and operating the datacenter-, cloud- and SaaS environments required for the delivery of global services.
You would also:
• Work on our various global DNS maintenance- and cleanup initiatives and analyze and troubleshoot DNS and certificates challenges inherent to our global services.
• Oversee the lifecycle management of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for DNS and certificate management and building technical reference documentation that can be used to inform and educate our teams and customers.
• Inform stakeholders about service delivery and gathering feedback to improve services.
• Collaborate with other teams such as network and security to ensure DNS reliability and security.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a solid understanding of PKI and adjacent concepts and technologies and proven experience with the OpenSSL toolkit and tools related to managing and diagnosing network connectivity.
• Has knowledge of working with ITIL and project management and is able to take ownership while being a team player.
• Is well-versed in global IT operations and security and ready to overcome the daily challenges of a global IT environment within a major enterprise.
• Is able to support adjacent functions that intersect and interact with our global services (such as networking/load balancing/reverse proxy/web services).
• Is fluent in written and spoken English.
