Position Overview:
The Senior Compliance Specialist supports the North American Healthcare Compliance organization in administration of an effective US healthcare compliance program. He or she will work internally to support compliance processes and procedures. The position can have a US or global scope of work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Support compliance process development, documentation, and implementation
+ Support compliance operations, including project reviews and documentation
+ Senior support for compliance monitoring and auditing program
+ Maintain and update compliance policies and procedures
+ Investigate, document, and propose solutions for compliance issues and concerns
+ Develop training plans and provide effective compliance training
+ Participate in and contribute to risk assessment and gap analysis
+ Support ad hoc compliance projects
+ Customer resource for compliance guidance and clarification
+ Work collaboratively with compliance colleagues to meet company objectives and serve customers
Skills/Qualifications/Education:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education and/or ability required.
+ Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Prefer one relevant compliance certification
+ Ability to travel 15% primarily within the US
+ Ability to apply US healthcare compliance laws and regulations to straight-forward business situations
+ Familiarity with US and international commercial operations
+ Ability to independently set up and conduct an audit
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Ability to issue spot straight forward issues and analyze data for patterns and inconsistencies and make recommendations
+ Understands how work fits into larger business
+ Ability to review colleagues' work and provide feedback
+ Ability to lead without direct report management (lead with influence)
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Strong verbal and writing skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with partners around the globe
+ Strong ethics, concern for standards, and desire to help others do the right thing
+ Ability to perform duties with the highest degree of confidentiality, objectivity, and fairness

+ Ability to develop quality presentations and deliver presentations to small and moderately-sized audiences
+ Ability to deliver basic training live or electronically
+ Ability to draft basic policies and procedures with guidance
+ Ability to support investigations with guidance
+ Ability to identify risks and analyze data for patterns and inconsistencies
+ Proficient with standard PC software
+ Ability to learn specialized software
+ Ability to be a resource to others
+ Obtains professional development annually, including learnings from outside the company
+ Looks outside the company to bring in new ideas and best practices
