Senior Front End Software Engineer

Overview

Chubb is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Front-End Developer with strong proficiency in Angular to join our team. As a UI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing intuitive user interfaces and delivering exceptional user experiences. Your expertise in Angular will be essential in creating scalable web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and designers to ensure the best user-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement responsive and visually appealing web applications. Develop high-quality code using Angular, ensuring best practices in design and performance. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring to team members. Troubleshoot and debug applications, continuously improving performance and usability. Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in front-end development. Delivering a complete front-end application with testing built into the code. Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself Cooperating with the back-end engineer in the process of building the RESTful API Collaborate with the stakeholders, the users, the build team and other development partners to implement state-of-the-art user experiences. Participate actively in discussions, presentations and decisions about front end development, web application, mobile app etc. Act as the impulse by providing clear guidance to the team’s questions during implementation phases Implement new technologies to maximize application performance Work with outside data sources and APIs Work on bug fixing and improving application performance using caching, lazy loading etc.

Qualifications

5 to 8 years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on Angular (including recent versions). Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript. Experience with CSS preprocessors with RESTful APIs in reactive programming with RxJS Ngrx Authorization (OAuth2, JWT etc) Unit testing with Jest, with Storybook, with Material and custom re-usable Components, with NX.DEV and Micro frontends Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development will be considered as a plus Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and Agile methodologies. Knowledge of building and tracking tools, such as Jira, Jenkins, Sonar Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to mentor junior developers and promote a collaborative environment. Strong communications skills with the ability to cooperate with both executives and technical staff in Greek and English Experience in the Insurance or Banking Sectors will be considered as a plus
