**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Senior Fire Alarm Consultant/Designer** to join our team in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, planning, and overseeing fire alarm systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local codes, and customer requirements. This individual will bring technical expertise, leadership, and attention to detail to deliver high-quality fire protection solutions.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop detailed fire alarm system designs.
+ Utilize CAD, Revit, or other design software to produce accurate, code-compliant drawings and submittals.
+ Ensure designs meet all applicable local, state, and national fire codes.
+ Perform site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems.
+ Prepare technical reports, specifications, design drawings and presentations.
+ Stay current on relevant changes to fire protection regulations and standards.
+ Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and AHJs to ensure seamless integration of fire alarm systems into overall building designs.
+ Review designs for accuracy, compliance, and constructability before submission.
+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet project and business objectives.
+ Assist our Business Development team in identifying, pursuing, and securing project opportunities.
+ Manage technical project performance including project scheduling and resource management to meet our business objectives.
+ Manage financial project performance by developing accurate project budgets while adhering to approved scopes of work.
**Qualifications**
+ 8+ years of experience designing fire alarm systems for an array of project types.
+ NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred.
+ Professional Licensure in Electrical or Fire Protection Engineering is a plus.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
+ Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local fire codes.
+ Experience with mass notification systems or integrated life safety solutions.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and project teams while meeting client deadlines.
