Senior Financial Analyst

The Sr Financial Analyst I - Corporate Functions position is responsible for enterprise-wide financial deliverables and analysis spanning across Ecolab’s corporate functions. This role will support corporate function initiatives and maintain strong financial and accounting controls.
This role reports to the Corporate Functions Finance manager for FP&A and control and is based in Buenos Aires.
What you will do: 

Understanding the execution for corporate function forecasting, accounting, and planning to standardize and optimize processes Support based on the process improvement to drive enterprise growth by supporting function-specific strategic projects, providing data driven insights and recommendations to finance and function leadershipUnderstanding monthly financial results; research, understand, and explain variances Execute month-end close activities and forecast cycle, includes creating and posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and tracking all functional G&A spend to work together with the process owner to improve and efficiently perform this activityDevelop and maintain efficient processes and controlsSupport the Global Function annual plan improving the reporting to facilitate the discussion for operating expense and capital expendituresDevelop and maintain tracking of cross-functional financial metrics for internal business partners; coordinate and delivery key monthly reporting packages

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5-7 years of accounting and/or financial analysisExperience in SAP, EPM, Excel and mining large datasetsAbility to drive change and standardize process and procedureProficiency in English (verbal and written)

Preferred qualifications:

Strong financial acumen with a background in accounting (US GAAP)Strong systems, analytical and organizational skillsSelf-motivated with ability to efficiently organize and prioritize competing prioritiesDemonstrated attention to detail and ability to develop, implement and interpret financial modelsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environmentAbility to navigate matrix organizations and varying stakeholdersPotential to grow beyond the current role
