At BCG, the Northeast Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A) is responsible for headcount forecasting, financial planning, business performance analysis and reporting for Northeast senior leadership, office leadership, and a variety of customers throughout the organization. Our team supports some of the largest offices at BCG, including Boston, New York, and Brooklyn. We are trusted business partners who offer data-based recommendations to help leadership make informed business decisions. The FP&A team focuses on critical business analytics, strategy development, and financial projections to drive key business decisions.
As a key contributor, the Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with local and regional leadership, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Mobility, and regional finance to build strategic, data-driven insights that support capacity planning and operational decision-making.
YOU WILL:
· Develop and maintain capacity models in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Talent Acquisition, FP&A, and office leadership
· Create and update detailed capacity plans by office and cohort to support both current-year and long-term strategic decision-making
· Produce regular capacity reporting, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and forecasting to guide critical business decisions
· Lead the coordination of capacity plan submissions during global planning cycles, incorporating guidance from global, regional, and local partners
· Collaborate with local stakeholders to support effective execution of consultant capacity plans
· Contribute to headcount projections to inform office space planning and real estate discussions
· Prepare clear and engaging presentations on financial metrics and P&L insights, sharing findings with senior leadership
· Assist with cost planning and budget variance reporting in partnership with local budget owners; lead the development of annual operational budgets and rolling forecasts
· Partner with local office budget owners to provide ongoing financial support, including ad hoc inquiries and forecasting
· Support broader Northeast FP&A initiatives by supporting ad hoc analysis and special projects as business needs evolve
