Saint Alphonsus Health System seeks a Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, departmental communication, and reporting.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.
Five years of financial analysis experience required. Three years of experience in healthcare or related accounting or finance work preferred.
Experience with operational and financial analysis required.
Experience with microcomputer modeling (spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing applications) is required.
What You Will Do:
Collects, organizes and analyzes data to support conclusions about past performance of business activities and projected future performance. Uses critical application of knowledge of the reliability and weaknesses of accounting information. Report formats include cash flow statements, operating statements, cost and volume variance analysis, budgets, and return on investment calculations.
Develops recommendations for the pricing of new services based on data collected on cost, market constraints and expected contribution margins of new services.
In coordination with corporate accounting staff and the Vice President of Finance, assists departments in the preparation of budgets, collates data for summary into a corporate budget, and analyzes compliance with corporate objectives.
Provides assistance to department managers; including presentations, explaining their financial performance reports, discussing goals and performance to those goals and supporting departments in their analysis of the steps required to meet goals.
Responsible for the preparation of the financial statements will be with the corporate accounting staff. Assists the corporate accounting staff in collection of onsite data, analysis of variations and communications of local information that has accounting implications.
Assists the Vice President of Finance in preparing special reports.
Demonstrated skills with critical thinking that identifies normative and predictive information. Demonstrated ability to present financial information in clear and concise formats including the ability to communicate financial information to managers with rudimentary financial experience.
