Senior Financial Analyst

What We Need:
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Americas finance team providing direct support to the VP of Operations of the Americas region. The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial and strategic support to the operations leadership team, including the analysis of plant operational performance and supply chain management. The position is located at the Company’s corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and reports to the Senior Finance Manager supporting operations in the Americas and FP&A for the Americas & Asia region.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Maintain and ensure the proper accounting for the operations expenses for each of the respective business units and plants within the Americas. Perform analytics on the income statement and balance sheet to explain variances on a monthly basis.
+ Ownership of the annual budgeting process for Americas plants. Work with the VP of Operations and plant managers to set the appropriate targets in alignment with the overall sales and profitability expectations of the business.
+ Be a strategic business partner for the entire Americas operations function.
+ Develop insightful analytics for measuring operational effectiveness. Analytics will include, but are not limited to analysis of labor and overhead productivity, monthly KPI’s, purchasing and production variances and inventory management.
+ Responsible for analyzing capital expenditures to gauge appropriate spending and anticipated returns on investment.
+ Ownership of the proper accounting for temporary labor, freight expense, excess and obsolete inventory and other operational expenses. Preparing/reviewing key account reconciliations, demonstrating judgment and working closely with the Brady Shared Services Teams.
+ Design effective reporting to clearly and concisely communicate timely information to the operations leadership team to facilitate impactful business decisions. Standard tools to convey messages would likely include variance analysis, as well as financial bridges.
+ Direct ownership of the annual cost roll process for plants within the Americas region. Indirect ownership of the cost roll process for all of Brady.
+ Ensure accurate product costing by calculating and applying labor and overhead rates and working with operations to accurately reflect bills of material and manufacturing assumptions.
+ Underlying responsibilities for all job aspects include:
+ Document and follow standard processes and procedures.
+ Improve the financial knowledge and acumen of the Americas operations team.
+ Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline reporting and other finance obligations.
+ Adhere to the Brady accounting policies in accordance with GAAP.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
+ 3+ years of experience in industry finance, corporate finance or public accounting.
+ Experience with analyzing manufacturing and operations is a plus.
+ Experience with SAP, QlikView, OneStream, and Microsoft suite is a plus.
+ Strong financial accounting skills and attention to detail.
+ Strong communication skills with the proven ability to execute projects through indirect influence.
+ Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion, prioritize and allocate time accordingly.
