The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the accounting functions of the assigned department but not limited to: Budget and Projections activities, coordinate and handle all SOX and external audits, assists in the quarterly P&L preparation with commentaries for variances. Ensure compliance with J&J Worldwide procedures, SOX guidelines, record retention, government statutory and legal requirements as it pertains to his/her areas of responsibilities. Responsible for driving and leading process improvements initiatives, as requested. Great opportunity to gain exposure across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Work closely to global and local teams, with responsibility over providing accurate, timely, and meaningful financial analysis to influence business decisions.
+ Independently sees opportunities for process efficiencies, cost improvements, while providing customer value generation.
+ Develop, manage and analyze budget and forecasts to align with organizational objectives.
+ Consolidate and challenge Actual and Plan total CNIS and department-level financials to Site and Finance leadership, along with providing business drivers, insights and valuable commentary.
+ Responsible for month/quarter-end closing activities such as, but not limited to: Journal entries, financial reports, Intercompany cross charges, corporate submissions and other requirement as needed.
+ Coordinate and handle all SOX and plant audits (internal and external),
+ Provide business rationale when making recommendations for decisions with short- and long term focus; influencing outcomes and challenges.
+ Ad hoc analysis for senior management, NPV analysis, industry benchmarking, and strategic data analysis.
+ Supports the team on processes optimization within the finance area.
**Qualifications**
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting.
+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), MBA or any related certification is preferred.
+ A minimum of three (3) years of accounting and/or financial experience is required. Preferably in the manufacturing industry, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment performing cost accounting duties is preferred.
+ Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, big picture orientation and maintaining attention to detail/accuracy is required.
+ Advanced Excel and Microsoft applications skills. Power BI is preferred.
+ Experience in SOX compliance is preferred.
+ Experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required.
+ Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
+ Work independently, as well as in a team environment, and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
+ Fluent/Advanced in Spanish/English.
+ This position will be located in Gurabo, PR and may require up to 10% travel.
