Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving operational efficiencies within the warehouses for a leading food service equipment and supplies distribution company. This individual will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining a suite of operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) and providing actionable insights to improve performance. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with an operational mindset to support decision-making and ensure operational excellence.
Operational Reporting:
+ Develop, update, and maintain detailed operational reports focused on warehouse activities and efficiencies.
+ Ensure timely and accurate distribution of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to relevant stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with warehouse management to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and integrate them into regular reporting.
Data Analysis and Insights:
+ Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Provide actionable recommendations to enhance warehouse processes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements based on data-driven insights.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
+ Support the budgeting and forecasting process for warehouse operations, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
+ Track actual performance against budgeted goals and provide variance analysis.
Process Improvement:
+ Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to streamline processes and improve productivity.
+ Implement tools and dashboards to automate reporting and enhance decision-making capabilities.
Collaboration and Communication:
+ Partner with warehouse, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.
+ Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership through presentations and detailed reports.
Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field; MBA or certifications a plus.
+ 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on operations or warehouse efficiency.
+ Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, etc.), and experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to various audiences.
+ Experience in the food service distribution or similar industries is a plus.
+ Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
+ Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
+ Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Timeliness and accuracy of reporting.
+ Identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities.
+ Contribution to cost savings and efficiency gains in warehouse operations.
