OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Property Management Finance team in Chicago, IL.

In this role, you will be a key member of our finance team, driving essential business analysis and metrics for the Mid-Atlantic region. You'll collaborate closely with property management professionals, providing financial insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a key financial business partner, collaborating closely with the Property Management team in the Mid-Atlantic region to drive strategic decision-makingManage and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company standardsLead in the development of the annual financial plan, incorporating local market trends and business objectivesImplement and maintain a robust rolling forecast process, providing regular updates to enhance financial visibilityLead insightful monthly financial meetings with Mid-Atlantic leadership, presenting comprehensive P&L reviews, revenue pipeline analyses, and scenario projections for full-year financial performanceConduct thorough reviews of monthly revenue across the property portfolio, ensuring accuracy and completeness while identifying and addressing discrepanciesPrepare and post accruals, delivering comprehensive variance analyses that highlight risks and opportunitiesCollaborate closely with business partners to optimize expenses and labor allocations, maximizing profitability and driving financial growthEnsure AP transactions adhere to corporate guidelines and accounting principlesProactively research and maintain accounts receivable to meet AR objectives and key performance metricsOversee and reconcile balance sheet accounts, monitoring all transactions from initiation to completion to maintain financial integrityLead and execute special projects, ad-hoc financial analyses, and complex financial modeling to support strategic initiativesDemonstrate leadership skills through mentoring junior team members, promoting best practices in financial processes and team collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plusMinimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in the commercial real estate industryDemonstrated ability to work successfully under pressure, effectively prioritize tasks, and manage time to meet critical deadlinesExceptional attention to detail with a track record of producing accurate and high-quality financial reportsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insightsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to succinctly present financial information to business leadershipSelf-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environmentAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling)Experience with financial reporting and ERP systems; knowledge of PeopleSoft and Oracle is highly desirableFamiliarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards

Estimated total compensation for this position:

99,000.00 – 110,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
