Senior Financial Analyst, Wealth and Asset Management

Reporting to Director, GWAM FP&A the incumbent will be a Finance professional who will help support the fast-growing GWAM franchise by delivering accurate, timely, and relevant reporting and analysis to support Business Unit (BU) and senior management decision making.

Position Responsibilities:

Acquiring deep institutional knowledge of GWAM business divisions across the company: Retail (mutual funds), Retirement and Institutional Asset Management by partnering with the other finance teams. 

Using in-house and industry knowledge to provide research and financial analysis resulting in value insights and recommendations to GWAM partners. This includes supporting the development of new reports, metrics, and analyses that will enable senior executives to make informed decisions on a timely basis.

Producing thoughtful, relevant management reporting materials for GWAM BUs, Group Finance, Strategy, Investor Relations, the Board of Directors, and external partners, underpinned by a broad understanding of the wealth and asset management industry and competitive landscape.

Consolidate, analyze, and synthesize complex financial and non-financial data from GWAM BU Finance and Reporting teams, ensuring financial integrity and consistency.

Prepare high-quality, timely monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, and presentations for GWAM CFOs and Business Heads, while supporting annual consolidated planning and trend analysis.

Collaborate with partners and team members to improve reporting, analysis, and processes, building relationships by understanding their challenges.

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance

3-5 years of experience in a finance role

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills;

Proven track record to thrive in a fast paced, hard-working, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests

Proactive approach to continuous improvements and a positive, “can-do” attitude

Curious with the ability to identify and investigate sophisticated issues, and recommend practical solutions

Experience with writing, analysis and storytelling for effective deck production

Outstanding analytical skills coupled with a critical thinking mentality

Strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional accounting designation (CPA) or Degree specialized in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Wealth and Financial Services proven experience preferred

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
