The eero team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the eero finance team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will own operating expenses for eero, help define business strategy, implement process improvements, drive the core financial processes including annual Operating Plans (OP1, OP2), Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), and financial Risks and Opportunities (R&O) updates. You will be responsible for providing accurate forecasts, budgets, bridges between actuals versus forecast, and insights to decision makers and cross-functional leaders. In addition to providing accurate forecasts and insights, you will provide sales channel support to non-finance business partners to drive growth in key financial metrics. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and curious with demonstrated ability to dive deep to understand the story behind the numbers.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a quarterly and yearly forecasting process by working closely with various different business partners to forecast eero operating expenses.
- Understand the story behind the numbers for any variances between the forecast and actual operating expenses
- Demonstrate a willingness to understand how business partners manage their business to identify their goals and drivers to forecast effectively.
- Be an integral part of the monthly financial close process by performing variance analysis and providing relevant insights to senior management. Investigate variances to understand trends, potential risks and opportunities and make adjustments to the forecast.
- Work actively with your business partners to determine their reporting needs and support their growth initiatives.
- Actively participate in Finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities.
