The Production Financial Services (PFS) Senior Financial Accounting Analyst position is within the Disney Enterprise Financial Services team supporting ABC News and ESPN Productions.
In this position, supporting ABC News, you will assist in quarterly and year-end closing processes. Close activities include reviewing transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, generating statements, analyzing variances, ensuring SOX compliance and preparing 10Q and 10K schedules. You will also prepare ongoing calculations supporting ABC News operations and assist in ad hoc projects.
In supporting ESPN Productions, you will provide real-time financial analysis and decision support services to production and remote operations clients. You will also complete budget forecasting, accounting and production tracking for Remote sporting events and Studio shows. You will also calculate and record monthly accruals and provide strategic operational support.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.Recent public accounting experience or 2-3 years of relevant corporate accounting and finance experience, particularly in general ledger reconciliation, corporate reporting and SOX controlsComplete moderately complex to complex tasks and projects requiring independent initiativePossess strong quantitative and analytical skillsAdaptability and flexibility for changing needs and audiencesIntermediate Excel knowledge with ability to analyze large sets of data using pivot and lookup tablesAbility to prioritize workload and escalate conflicting prioritiesPreferred Qualifications

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $103,400.00 to $126,200.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered
