Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

About the role:

Are you a diligent accountant looking for a career-defining opportunity in a global business?

We have a new opportunity in our Finance department based in Pretoria for an experienced and enthusiastic management accountant to join our successful team on a permanent, full time basis. The role will involve a working pattern of 4 days in office, with Fridays working from home.

Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, you will form the bridge between the accounting function performed by the shared service centre, the roles performed in the country, and the requirements of the local and regional management teams.

Responsibilities:

To assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts including monthly variance analysis and query resolution.Process month end journals and prepare month end reconciliations.Completion of VAT201's, EMP201's, EMP501's, other statutory and compliance filing.Collaboration with the Financial Shared Service Centre to ensure that all shared service transactional activities for South Africa are optimally executed.Providing guidance and support to internal and external stakeholder regarding financial information.Assist in ad hoc projects as and when required.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

A qualification from either CA / CGMA / ACCA, required.A finance / accounting background with several years of proven working experience within a similar role.Emotional intelligence and strong communication skills that make you objective in delivering a service to key stakeholders.Experience using SAP, beneficial.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.Strong organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
