The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Associate to manage key financial operations, ensure compliance, and support a wide range of finance processes within our organization. This role plays a vital part in delivering accurate financial information, maintaining regulatory standards, and providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Oversee finance operations, including insurance payables/receivables and general payments. Maintain fixed asset registers and perform intercompany and general ledger reconciliations. Support core finance functions: supplier payables, T&E audits, FX payments, banking, and insurer reconciliations. Manage supplier reconciliations and respond to internal/external queries. Conduct process reviews with management and recommend efficiency improvements. Provide data analysis and reporting (daily, monthly, quarterly, ad hoc). Identify vendor spend trends and support negotiation of better terms. Conduct audits and internal checks to ensure process compliance and maintain procedural documentation. Assist with system upgrades and process changes, supporting impacted users. Support departmental projects and ensure data accuracy across systems. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational needs and service levels. Ensure full compliance with WTW procedures and relevant external regulations including but not limited to Kazakhstan financial regulations, tax laws and international accounting standards (IFRS). Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements. Manage financial reporting, including operational reports, variance analysis, cash flow forecasting, and budget monitoring. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and tax authorities.The Requirements
At least 8 years of experience in Finance or Accounting management; background in the insurance industry is a plusBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Statutory Certification in Professional Accounting as per Regulatory requirementsValid Regulatory Accounting Licence (approval) is a plusFluency in Kazakh, Russian and English is requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office, with at least intermediate-level Excel skillsExperience with accounting and ERP systems (e.g. 1C, SAP, Oracle, or similar).Excellent customer service and organizational skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailHands-on experience with general ledger systemsProject management experience is a plusReliable, with a flexible and proactive work stylePrioritizes tasks effectively and consistently meets deadlines without compromising qualityWorks independently with efficiency and accountabilityExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Application Process
