We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) DACH Europe team, reporting to the Europe Project Finance Director. HBS is a strategic business unit within Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT) and is focused on the delivery of Projects and Services.

This position will own and lead the finance activities for the Honeywell Building Solutions division in DACH region, AOP $58M turnover. The role plays an integral part of the regional leadership team, partnering and supporting the Regional GMs for Projects in driving financial performance, managing, and leading key business processes including the annual operating plan (AOP), financial forecasts, strategic plan (STRAP) and project management accounting. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

 Acting as regional finance lead for the region, this role will:

Lead, coordinate, and drive HBS financial performance for the Region to ensure financial goals (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash commitments) are met while aligning with corporate policies and procedures. Timely completion of reporting including Monthly Highlights, Pulse (weekly/daily), variance Analysis assessment and Monthly Financial Reviews, working closely with the project operation and PCO organization.Acting as business partner, play an active role in the region's strategy by contributing and challenging the process.Develop robust Management Operating System for the region and for the function.Drive and track business productivity initiatives across multiple functions.Set business financial targets by Country and line of business to achieve the financial plans and forecastTimely collating, completion, submission, and reporting of region's forecast/AOP data in the respective tools and outputAdvise business leadership of opportunities and risks impacting business performance.Define, develop, and enthusiastically drive process improvements to reduce finance business process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality and reliability, improve information provided to leadership for business decisions.Perform financial closing activities (Journal entries, P&L analysis and correction, orders stats, B/S verification) in sync with the latest Controllership and COTA organization.Support Controller's department on internal and external audit requestsEnsure compliance with Corporate Policies and ProceduresComplete special and ad-hoc projects as requested to support business/Pole's needs.Travelling 35-40% depending on business requirements and countries needs.Involvement in executive visits and board meetings, providing overall regional leadership. Improve SAP/Cora PPM utilization and digital literacy and data accuracy within the regionBilling quality: quick but right the 1st time. Deploy digital efficiencies and championing project management system accuracy. Manage regional Cash collection and past due reduction by better driving people behaviors, billing correctness, contract payment terms and milestones. Working capital managementAbility to interpret Projects overrun avoidance / Contract profitability review and actions Actively participate in EAC deep dive and opportunity findingDrive pricing initiatives in the region and bid reviewParticipates in regional project risk reviews and regional SEA approvalAct as delegate for other regional finance leads as required

Key skills and qualifications

Ideally CIMA/ACA/CPA/MBA qualifiedExcellent analytical skills - experience with Project Accounting preferredIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office and advanced intermediate in Excel specificallySystems Literacy - HFM; HSP; SAP; Cora, digital finance, and TableauGood understanding of project management/controlsAdditional Language English and German is required.
